Dr. Mazatul 'Aini Shahar Binti Abdul Malek Shahar ("Dr. 'Aini") brings 30 years of leadership experience in transformation and turnaround management, business leadership and strategic fundraising. She served as Chief Financial Officer of Cagamas Berhad and previously as Chief Financial Officer of MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad.

She was also the Group Chief Financial Officer of Proton Holdings Berhad ("Proton"), where she supported the merger & acquisition ("M&A") process culminating in Proton's strategic partnership and transaction with Zhejiang Geely Group, including cashflow management prior to completion. Dr. 'Aini has also held senior roles at Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad and Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad.

Dr. 'Aini began her career with Arthur Andersen & Co. after graduating from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales ("ICAEW").

Dr. 'Aini has board and governance experience, having served as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee member of 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Berhad and TH Heavy Engineering Berhad, and as an Independent Non-Executive Director of IJN Holdings Sdn. Bhd., where she served as Chairman of the Board Tender Committee and a member of the Board Finance Committee.
